Following the UK’s exit from the European Union, citizens of the EU, EEA and Switzerland as well as their families must apply to continue living in the UK legally.
This process is important as it will allow you to continue:
- working in the UK
- access the NHS for free, if you can at the moment
- enrol in education and study in the UK
- access public funds such as benefits and pensions, if you’re eligible for them
- travel in and out of the UK
The deadline for applications is the 30th June 2021.
If you apply to the EU Settlement Scheme successfully, you’ll be able to continue living and working in the UK after 30 June 2021.
