Migration Policy and Practice launched in 2018, initially as a Project jointly funded by the Barrow Cadbury Trust and the Paul Hamlyn Foundation.

It has now been established as an independent Charitable Incorporated Organisation (Registered Charity Number 1201181).

We exist to provide strategic support to the voluntary and community sector in the region, for any organisation working with migrants.

Our aim is to support collaborative working through the development of the West Midlands Migration Network, allowing organisations to come together and discuss joint working to address key priorities.

We also help increase understanding of the barriers faced by migrants in settling in the region with the release of an annual Sector Assessment, produced in collaboration with partners and informed by a series of Focus Groups allowing the voices of those with lived experience to be centered in our findings.

Our ambition is to develop the organisation as a hub for policy and practice in the West Midlands , assisting both the sector and partners in understanding gaps in provision, demographic changes and to develop responses to key issues.
