Over the past twelve months we have been working with colleagues across the migration sector to build understanding of the barriers to mental health support experienced by asylum seekers and the wider migrant population in Birmingham. This has also involved supporting the coordination of the provision being provided to residents by third sector organisations.
We are currently producing a final report of our findings and recommendations but in the interim you can read a series of case studies highlighting some positive outcomes that have been made possible through the involvement of key partners.
Many thanks to our colleague Asma Malik who has been leading on this workstream, and to Birmingham City Council for their financial support to the role.
